Forbes Matonga is an Elder in The Global Methodist Church Zimbabwe Annual Conference. First ordained Deacon in 1992, then Elder 1994.

I am Preacher, Teacher, Church Planter and Church Historian. I have Led several Churches as Pastor in Charge in Zimbabwe as well as several National and international Boards including The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry of The United Methodist Church,The Weslyan Covenant Association, The Africa Initiative, ACT INTERNATIONAL, Geneva and The Health Profesions Authority of Zimbabwe. 

Four times Delegate to The General Conference of The United Methodist Church, and seven time Delegate to The Africa Central Conference of The United Methodist Church. Senior Chaplain University of Zimbabwe, National Director Christian Care Zimbabwe, The biggest National Humanitarian Organization in Zimbabwe. There have been several papers on The Church in Africa that I have both written and contributed to with invitations to various platforms to speak on Church and Humanitarian/Development platforms. I am the current Conference Superintendent of The Zimbabwe Annual Conference and Head of Delegation to Global Methodist Church General Conference 2026.

I am both humbled and excited to be nominated for the Episcopacy of The Church of The Moment, The Global Methodist Church. My vision is to Spread Scriptural Holinees across The Globe and to see Communities transformed for Christ. I believe The World is ready for The 21st Century Revival, The Global Methodist Church is the Instrument created for that task. I believe I have what it takes to lead that Great Revival in the Episcopal Team of The Global Methodist Church. I bring the unique authentic African voice and Cosmology rooted in Weslyan Theology and Methodist Tradition. I am a team player, innovative and Charismatic. Principled and focused. I am a rooted African with an international worldview. The World is my Parish.
