Their messages will guide and shape our worship as we gather under the theme, The Beauty of Holiness.

BISHOP JEFF GREENWAY

Allegheny West Annual Conference

Jeff was raised in a Christian home, committing his life to Christ during his early teens. It was during these formative years that God began to place a call upon his life to enter full-time Christian service. He is a graduate of Mount Union College (BA: Business), Asbury Theological Seminary (MDiv), and Wesley Theological Seminary (DMin: Evangelism).  Prior to being elected and consecrated as a bishop on September 25, 2024 at the convening General Conference of the Global Methodist Church, Jeff served as the Conference Superintendent of the Allegheny West Conference—a position his still holds. He has also served as Lead Pastor of the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church near Columbus, President of Asbury Theological Seminary, Superintendent of the Pittsburgh East District of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, and as Pastor congregations in Butler and Erie, PA. He also has extensive denominational experience having been appointed to serve on various denominational boards and being elected by his peers to attend and provide leadership in his denomination’s highest governing bodies. He is widely seen as a leader of leaders by his peers.  Jeff's approach to ministry is one of team building. He believes in the New Testament concept of the church being the Body of Christ, and that every member of the Body has a distinctive role and function in ministry. In the local church, his leadership has been committed to helping everyone become a believer in Jesus and finding his/her distinctive passion, gifts and style so that they will be able to serve where God has intended for them to serve. Jeff is never more excited than when new people come to a faith relationship with Jesus Christ, and then discover and use their distinct gifts and graces in the ministry of the Body.  Jeff is also passionate about Biblical preaching and discipleship. He will take a particular passage of scripture and, not only help the listener understand what it means, but also how to apply its truth into their personal lives. Jeff is committed to leading the church to become all that God has intended and equipped it to be. He uses his spirituals gifts of leadership, administration, preaching, teaching, and wisdom to lay out a vision for our future.   On a personal note, Jeff is married to Beth, and together they are the parents of three adult children and have eight grandchildren. He has many interests and hobbies outside of his work. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports, Penn State football and Kentucky basketball fan. He also enjoys exercise, gardening, reading, traveling, and fly-fishing.

Rev. Dr. Portia Kuzanga

Zimbabwe Annual Conference

Rev. Dr. Portia Kuzanga is an ordained elder in the North East Conference of the Global Methodist Church and is currently an affiliate member with the Zimbabwe Conference of the Global Methodist Church. Portia has over 20 years of pastoral experience in Zimbabwe and in the United States. Currently, she helps with pastoral training and workshop programs in Zimbabwe and serves as the chairperson of the Superintendence committee for the conference.

Portia has a passion and giftedness for preaching and teaching the scripture in ways that proselytize the spreading of scriptural holiness and guide people through their spiritual journeys. As a leader, she believes in doing church together, visioning together, and moving together as one true congregation in love. Her way of doing ministry is by accompaniment- a way of being with and walking with others in this life journey, meeting people in their context and nourishing their souls.

She holds degrees from Central Methodist University, Duke Divinity School, and the Evangelical Seminary of Kairos University. Dr. Kuzanga's academic focus is on the theology of human brokenness, wholeness, and flourishment. Here, she integrates theology, psychology, philosophy, and the healing love of God revealed in Christ to help individuals confront their brokenness, seek therapy, build resilience, and be replenished in ways that foster wholeness and flourishment.

Portia is blessed with two beautiful children who currently reside in Pennsylvania with her church family. As a small family that has experienced life's ups and downs, they are deeply dependent on Christ, the strong rock who will never fail. They all have the fiber of faith that never gives up—trusting in God through it all!
