2026 Delegate Allocation by Region
The Connectional Council has approved the final delegate allocation for the 2026 General Conference, which you can view below. We are grateful to all Conference Superintendents who worked to overcome time constraints and technological barriers to make this allocation possible.
Delegates who have already been elected will receive invitations to register before the end of February.
Delegates who have not yet been elected will receive invitations in a future registration wave.
We look forward to a dynamic General Conference in Johannesburg, featuring a widely diverse delegation representing the global church.
There is a newly revised Plan of Organization available for General Conference. The switch from having virtual legislative committee meetings to meeting on-site in Johannesburg has fostered many changes related to the deadlines and other details. We have continued to refine the nominations process for the various committees, councils, and commissions to be elected before and at the General Conference. We have also created a less formal option for legislative committee deliberations. All these changes can be seen in a red-line version of the Plan, as well as a two-page summary of the changes. The changes were approved by the General Conference Commission and the Connectional Council. Although we need to begin living into these changes now, they will not become official until adopted by the first plenary session of the General Conference. We urge you to review the changes and become familiar with how the General Conference will function.
